Dr. Chala Baker
Bible Teacher, Theologian, Author, Speaker
Bible Teacher
Chala has always been gifted by God with the ability to teach. Before she became a Christian she planned to be an elementary teacher, but God had other plans! Right before finishing her undergraduate degree she accepted Christ as her savior. Simultaneously, her 5th child was born premature, ending her ability to go into the daily demands of public school teaching. Confused, she asked God what she should do. In that moment He revealed His plan for her life when He told her Jesus is the greatest subject one can teach about! She immediately enrolled in Seminary, obtaining her Master of Divinity degree in 2014 from Liberty University. She has been using her God-given teaching skills to lead people of all ages into understanding the Bible on a deeper level ever since.

Theologian
Chala is very aware of the implications that surround James 3:1. This verses states, "Dear brothers and sisters, not many of you should become teachers in the church, for we who teach will be judged more strictly." Due to the seriousness of God's word, Chala decided that she needed to get as much education as possible in order to treat the Word of God with the fidelity it deserves. In 2024 she obtained her Doctor of Philosophy in Biblical Exposition from Liberty University. You can be assured that if you are sitting under Chala's teaching, she has worked hard to ensure that she is teaching the Word to the best of her ability, knowing she will have to give an account for it to the Lord.
Author and Speaker
Chala has been speaking at churches and church events since 2013. She is an experienced pastor and has had the privilege to be the keynote speaker at conferences. In addition, Chala will be releasing her first book, "The Art of Kintsugi" in the Summer of 2024.
Wife & Mom of 9
Chala delights in her role as a wife and mother. She and her husband, Matt, are high school sweethearts and have been married since 2002. Together they have 9 children ranging in age from 21 to 6! Chala and Matt's marriage and the troubles it endured played a major role in Chala giving her life to Christ and is a testimony in and of itself. In addition, Matt joins her weekly on their podcast, "A Little Bit of Gold." Many people enjoy listening to the banter of this fun, Christ-seeking couple!
